Spotlight on Miami Art Week
Miami— November 7, 2023 — As December approaches, Miami gears up to take center stage as the global spotlight for art during Art Basel Miami Beach. This internationally renowned art fair has evolved into much more than just a showcase of contemporary art; it has become a transformative event that deeply impacts the local community while elevating Miami’s status on the global art scene. Beyond the bustling main art fair, Miami is hosting over 20 international art fairs, exciting museum exhibitions and exceptional private collection viewings that provide a chance to experience world class artistic representations. Tresart takes pride in being a long-standing member of this thriving community and invites you to take advantage of this outstanding celebration of art.
Art Basel Miami Beach has transformed Miami into an art epicenter that brings together communities, artists, and collectors from around the world. This unique confluence of art and community creates a vibrant atmosphere that sets the city apart as a prominent destination for art collectors. For the 2023 edition of Art Basel’s premier global fair in the Americas, Art Basel will bring together 277 leading international galleries with new highlights from the Latin American scene and Caribbean diaspora. Other important fairs such as The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA), Untitled Art Fair and Design Miami provide additional opportunities for collectors to engage with art and design from all over the world.
During Miami Art Week, the city’s museums come alive with an array of fascinating exhibitions that cater to diverse tastes. Among them, The Bass Museum of Art’s exhibitions for this season include Hernan Bas: The Conceptualists and Ann Duk Hee Jordan: I will always weather with you, as well as new works on view from The Bass Collection. Additionally, The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), is featuring the blockbuster exhibition Yayoi Kusama: Love is Calling, and Joan Didion: What She Means an exhibition as an examination of the life of the great American artist and journalist, by curator Hilton Als.
Visiting collectors can also take the opportunity to visit some of the world’s most prestigious private art collections unveiled to the public.
